Yellow shrimp are a selectively bred colour line of Neocaridina davidi, a species native to Taiwan, eastern China, the Korean peninsula and Vietnam. The Wikipedia species article documents the yellow form and attributes it to xanthophores in the shell, and it is the only source found that covers the animal at all: Seriously Fish and FishBase deal with fishes, and SeaLifeBase did not load. Nothing published there gives a temperature range, a pH range, a tank volume or a group size, so those values in the data sheet are not verified against an independent published source; the entry is flagged for owner review.
