Both Cherry Shrimp and Dwarf gourami share a comfortable temperature range of 22–27°C (Cherry Shrimp prefers 18–28°C, Dwarf gourami prefers 22–27°C). Their pH ranges overlap well at 6.5–7.5, so water chemistry is compatible. Both species have low aggression scores (Cherry Shrimp: 1, Dwarf gourami: 3 out of 10), which supports peaceful cohabitation. They occupy different water columns (Cherry Shrimp: bottom, Dwarf gourami: middle), which reduces direct competition for space.
