Can Siamese fighting fish Live With Ember tetra?

Ember tetras are about 2 cm long, very peaceful, and poor competitors against boisterous or much larger tankmates. In a general community they can be combined with anabantoids, and bettas are anabantoids.

The betta itself is less encouraging: not recommended for the standard community aquarium and best kept alone in most cases. Size matters as well. A 6.5 cm betta that is fed small live foods is more than three times the length of an adult ember.

The water is not the problem. Embers take 20 to 28 °C and pH 5 to 7, which overlaps the betta at 22 to 28 °C and pH 6 to 7. Buy at least 8 to 10 embers so they school and settle, keep the tank heavily planted, and watch whether the betta ignores them or hunts them. Embers are micropredators in nature and should get small live or frozen foods such as Artemia nauplii, Moina and microworm every day alongside dried food.
