Lamandau Buce

Bucephalandra sp. 'Lamandau' is a trade form of the Bucephalandra complex named for the Lamandau river region of Indonesian Borneo. Like all Bucephalandra it is a creeping-rhizome epiphyte, and this is one of the smallest of the trade forms, a few centimetres of dense growth that fits naturally in the foreground of a nano tank. It spreads by division of the rhizome, very slowly, and is best tied to rock or driftwood, where the roots eventually bind on their own. Flowgrow publishes no page for this form and no formally described species name is attached to it, so the label should be read as a trade designation rather than a confirmed taxon. It does best in temperatures of 20 to 26 °C with a pH of 5.5 to 7, and benefits from CO2 enrichment for steady growth.
