Can Green terror Live With Oscar?

Size matches well here, 30 cm against 35 cm, which answers the sharpest warning on both profiles: the green terror is best kept alone or as a pair unless the tank is enormous, and the oscar should not be combined with much smaller fish. Neither condition applies to the other in this pairing, and both profiles name other large, robust cichlids as workable company once the tank is big enough.

Temperature is the tighter figure, 20 to 24 °C set by the green terror's narrower range, with pH 6.5 to 7.5 comfortable for both.

The green terror's own guidance for mixed cichlid stocking starts at 650 litres, and that number, not the oscar's smaller minimum, is the one to plan around. Rockwork and driftwood broken into separate zones give each fish a base to retreat to, and a pair of green terrors left to breed in the same tank as an oscar is asking for trouble: keep a single green terror or a stable, established pair, not a group forming on the fly.
