Both Clown loach and Coolie loach share a comfortable temperature range of 25–29°C (Clown loach prefers 25–30°C, Coolie loach prefers 24–29°C). Their pH ranges overlap well at 5.5–6.5, so water chemistry is compatible. Both species have low aggression scores (Clown loach: 1, Coolie loach: 1 out of 10), which supports peaceful cohabitation.
