Can Cherry Shrimp Live With Sumatra barb?

Both Cherry Shrimp and Sumatra barb share a comfortable temperature range of 22–26°C (Cherry Shrimp prefers 18–28°C, Sumatra barb prefers 22–26°C). Their pH ranges overlap well at 6.5–8, so water chemistry is compatible. Both species have low aggression scores (Cherry Shrimp: 1, Sumatra barb: 1 out of 10), which supports peaceful cohabitation. They occupy different water columns (Cherry Shrimp: bottom, Sumatra barb: middle), which reduces direct competition for space.
