Can Bronze corydoras Live With Peppered corydoras?
Compatibility assessment for Bronze corydoras and Peppered corydoras
Detailed assessment
Two Corydoras with the same requirements, and each is among the most peaceful fish in the hobby. They share a floor without friction.
Their temperature ranges overlap at 22 to 26 °C, and pH 6 to 7 satisfies both, with the bronze tolerating harder water up to pH 8 if your tap water runs that way.
Numbers are where mixed Corydoras groups go wrong. Both are shoaling fish that turn reclusive and stressed without their own kind, and three bronze plus three peppered is not the same as six of either, so buy five or six of each. That means a tank around 80 litres, soft sand, and no sharp gravel, which abrades their barbels and invites infection. Feed sinking pellets and frozen food that reaches the bottom. Both will dart to the surface for a gulp of air now and then, which is normal behaviour rather than a sign of trouble.
