Can Freshwater angelfish Live With Molly?

Water rules this pairing out. Angelfish prefer soft, slightly acidic water at pH 6 to 7.5, while mollies want hard, alkaline water at pH 7.5 to 8.2. The only overlap is the single point of pH 7.5, which leaves no margin, and angelfish are sensitive to rapid swings in water parameters.

Temperature is easier at 24 to 28 °C, and mollies are peaceful fish that mix with similarly sized peaceful company. In a community tank, though, most molly fry get eaten.

Keep them apart and choose tankmates that share each fish's water: medium-to-large characins, corydoras and dwarf cichlids for the angelfish, and similarly sized peaceful fish that like hard water for the mollies. Mollies are social and do best in a group with more females than males, because the males court persistently, and in a planted tank of their own the population climbs quickly.
