Can Freshwater angelfish Live With Coolie loach?

Kuhli loaches spend much of their time in the substrate or packed together in a cave, while angelfish hold the middle of the tank, so the two barely share space. Pangio loaches are peaceful with other fishes and there are no reports of them harming tankmates, although they may prey on eggs or fry, which matters if your angelfish pair spawns.

The water is where to be careful. The loaches want pH 5.5 to 6.5 at 21 to 26 °C and the angelfish pH 6 to 7.5 at 24 to 30 °C. That leaves soft water at pH 6 to 6.5 and 24 to 26 °C, workable but narrow.

Keep at least five or six loaches on fine sand, with driftwood and tall plants for cover. They forage with the sensory barbels around the mouth, so make sure sinking food reaches the sand. Angelfish pairs lay their eggs on a broad leaf or a spawning slate and guard eggs and fry for several days, and with egg-eating loaches in the tank that guarding has something to do.
