Can Freshwater angelfish Live With Bronze corydoras?

This is one of the standard pairings. Corydoras are among the angelfish's good tankmates, and bronze cories are peaceful, social catfish that stay on the bottom while the angelfish holds the middle of the tank.

Keep five or six cories, at up to 7.5 cm each, on soft sand, since sharp gravel can damage their barbels and lead to infections. They are armoured with overlapping bony plates rather than scales and gulp air at the surface now and then.

The water overlaps at 24 to 26 °C and pH 6 to 7.5. Feed sinking foods such as bloodworm, daphnia and brine shrimp so the cories are fed on the bottom as well as the angelfish in midwater.

Both species breed in aquaria. Bronze cories lay a few large eggs on hard surfaces after the classic T-position embrace, and angelfish pairs lay on a broad leaf or a spawning slate and guard the eggs and fry for several days.
