Dwarf Hygrophila

If there is one plant that grows under almost any condition a beginner can provide, it is Hygrophila polysperma. Light intensity barely matters — it grows at low light, medium light, and high light, only the leaf size and stem spacing change. Water hardness has no effect on its growth rate. No CO₂ is needed. It simply grows.

The plant produces many side shoots that can be cut and re-planted, which makes propagation as easy as trimming the stems every two to three weeks.
