Description

The 2.0 is the point in Sicce's Syncra Silent range where the build changes. This model and everything above it runs on a 5 mm ceramic shaft instead of the stainless steel one used in the 0.5 to 1.5 sizes, and adds a recirculation path that keeps the rotor cleaning itself. Those two details decide whether a pump is still quiet a year into hard water. Sicce's performance chart gives 2150 litres per hour at a maximum head of 200 cm, drawing 32 W from a 230 to 240 V, 50 Hz supply. Flow is adjustable and stepped hose tails are in the box, so it can be dialled down for a sump return without an adapter hunt. It is a wet-and-dry pump, which is why it turns up in so many different builds. The same unit runs submerged in a sump, dry as an external feed for a skimmer or a chiller loop, or outdoors in a fountain. Sicce also lists terrarium and turtle-tank duty, where the water is shallow and a pump that tolerates running dry is worth more than raw output. Thermal protection shuts it down before an overheat, and the suction cups are taller than the previous Syncra generation to keep vibration out of the glass. For a build where debris is heavy, Sicce sells a prechamber grid that passes solids up to 2 mm rather than letting them reach the impeller.
