Description

The ITC-306T is a pre-wired plug-in thermostat: the heater plugs into it, it plugs into the wall, and the NTC probe goes in the tank. What separates it from Inkbird's better-known ITC-308 is that it is heating-only. There is no cooling relay, so it cannot switch a chiller or a cooling fan, and its alarm fires on over-temperature only, where the 308 alarms on both high and low. If you want one controller that also cuts in a fan during a summer heatwave, this is the wrong model in the range. What it does have is a dual time cycle: two setpoints on a 24-hour schedule, which Inkbird offers for the day-night physiological needs of animals and plants - a few degrees of night-time drop, set once and left. Two outlets switch together off a dual relay, running up to two heaters at a combined 10 A on 100-240 V AC, and the dual display shows measured and target temperature at the same time. The control range is -50 to 99 C, accurate to within 1 C between -50 and 70 C, the probe lead is 2 m, and a built-in capacitor holds the timer settings for over 20 days without mains power. Sensor offset is adjustable, which matters more than it sounds: an uncalibrated probe reading high holds the tank below the number on the display. Body is 140 x 68 x 33 mm; Inkbird warrants it for one year.
