Aquarium sands offer a different substrate choice from nutrient soils. Check the actual sand, its grain appearance and the water conditions you intend to maintain. CaribSea Moonlight Sand and Crystal River Sand are named examples within the manufacturer’s sand range. The inspected listings describe these products as pH neutral. Moonlight’s selected five-pound listing describes white sand, and Crystal River’s ten-pound listing identifies white and tan. These are product-specific pack and appearance details; a pH-neutral claim alone does not verify every possible effect on water chemistry. Check the selected bag and current instructions before setup. Neither inspected listing establishes that the product is designed specifically for Neocaridina.
