Lava/Pagoda stone

Description

Lava rock and Pagoda stone are sold as aquarium hardscape, but the names describe different selections. Aquasabi describes its black lava as lightweight and porous. Tropica’s Layout 107 uses layered Pagoda stone as the main rockwork and smaller lava pieces as plant-attachment surfaces. Choose the actual pieces for texture, scale and placement. Tropica’s aquascaper describes testing the arrangement outside the tank and taking care that cleaning does not shift the rocks. Check a stable arrangement and access for maintenance rather than selecting only by a decorative name. Clean the pieces before installation and check their stated water influence. Aquasabi distinguishes neutral rocks from lime-containing stones that can raise hardness. That guidance about its product range does not prove the composition of every stone sold as lava or Pagoda, so monitor the water and verify the actual supplied material.
