Description
An external aquarium temperature controller switches connected equipment according to a water probe. Check what “dual” means on the selected device: the D&D Dual Heating & Cooling Controller has one probe and separate heater and fan/chiller outlets, while INKBIRD ITC-306A uses two probes in a heating controller. ITC-306A-WIFI has a relay for normal control and another for abnormal protection, with high/low and probe-difference alarms. These features have specific functions; two probes or two outlets alone do not establish the same control or protection design. Match the connected heater or cooler to the controller’s voltage and load rating. For the D&D unit, keep its water probe submerged and away from heaters and chiller returns, and set the heating, cooling and alarm differentials according to its manual.
