Description

A multi-channel dosing pump delivers selected liquid supplements on a programmed schedule. Four channels let you set up separate dosing heads for different liquids. Choose by the required dose range, schedule controls and compatibility with the actual supplements. Prime and calibrate each head with the liquid it will dispense. Red Sea’s ReefDose manual explains that fluid viscosity and differences between heads affect calibration, and calls for recalibration after changing the internal dosing tube. Its four-head model is a reef-aquarium example; its figures are not specifications for every four-channel pump. Check the minimum single dose, total daily range and dosing rate separately. Mount the unit and tubing as directed, with secure connections and outlets in the intended position. ReefDose specifies an outlet above the sump and a splashproof, dry installation. Check the complete arrangement for unintended flow rather than assuming all pumps prevent siphoning. Verify delivery after setup and when changing liquid or tubing, and monitor the remaining supplement. A programmed dose is a delivery setting, not a measurement of what the aquarium needs. Base the schedule on the supplement instructions and relevant aquarium measurements.
