Can Sumatra barb Live With Zebra danio?

This is the company a tiger barb is actually recommended for: robust, comparably sized, pelagic cyprinids from similar habitats. The zebra danio is 5 cm to the barb's 6, quick, and rarely still, so it is neither a target for fin nipping nor slow enough to be chased down.

Their ranges overlap widely at 20 to 25 °C and pH 6 to 8, and both are hardy across that whole band.

Numbers are the condition, as always with tiger barbs. Buy 8 to 10 or more so their squabbling stays inside the school, and keep the danios in a group of at least eight as well, since single fish become nervous and hide. Danios are measured for a tank about 90 cm long, roughly 81 litres, which also gives the barbs the open water they want. Expect a busy, fast tank rather than a calm one, and do not add long finned fish to it later.
