Both Molly and Sailfin molly share a comfortable temperature range of 24–28°C (Molly prefers 24–28°C, Sailfin molly prefers 24–28°C). Their pH ranges overlap well at 7.5–8.2, so water chemistry is compatible. Both species have low aggression scores (Molly: 1, Sailfin molly: 1 out of 10), which supports peaceful cohabitation. They occupy different water columns (Molly: all, Sailfin molly: middle), which reduces direct competition for space.
