Can Bronze corydoras Live With Royal panaque?

The royal pleco's temper is reserved for its own kind and for catfish of a similar size. A 7.5 cm bronze cory is neither, and the same profile describes the fish as peaceful with smaller company and secretive enough to spend the day out of sight. The cory, for its part, is placid with everything.

The constraint here is not temperament, it is the pleco itself. A royal pleco reaches 43 cm, is measured for 450 litres, and produces waste to match. Bogwood is not decoration for this fish: it appears to eat the wood, and it is also its preferred hiding place, so the tank needs generous amounts of it. The pleco can also be a fussy feeder, and its own profile says to get it feeding well before mixing it with large, boisterous company. Build the tank around all that, add a group of six cories to the floor it leaves free, and feed them sinking food of their own over fine sand that protects their barbels.
