Can Bronze corydoras Live With Pygmy corydoras?

The pygmy cory is the reason for the caution, not the bronze. Its own profile says it does not make an ideal community fish: at 3 cm it is easily intimidated by larger tankmates, it competes badly with them for food, and larger catfish are named among the fish that will find it a snack. A 7.5 cm bronze cory is a larger catfish.

On water they agree, at 22 to 26 °C and pH 6.4 to 7.4.

If you want both, feed for the smaller fish. Pygmies have small mouths and need fine grade food, crushed flake, micro pellets, daphnia and brine shrimp, while a group of bronze cories will clear a sinking wafer before the pygmies reach it. Keep at least six pygmies and preferably ten or more so they shoal tightly and gain confidence, and note that they often hover in the middle water rather than on the bottom, which keeps them out of the bronze group's path.
