Can Bronze corydoras Live With Coolie loach?
Compatibility assessment for Bronze corydoras and Coolie loach
Detailed assessment
Two peaceful bottom dwellers that keep to themselves. Kuhli loaches are peaceful with one another and with other fishes, with no reports of them harming tankmates, and the bronze cory is one of the most placid catfish in the hobby. Neither competes hard enough to trouble the other.
Temperature meets at 22 to 26 °C. pH is the tighter figure: the kuhli takes 5.5 to 6.5 and the bronze cory 6 to 8, so aim at 6 to 6.5, soft and slightly acidic, which the kuhli needs and which sits comfortably at the bottom of the cory's range.
Both want their own kind: five or six kuhlis and five or six cories, not a mixed handful, since each is bolder among its own species. Soft sand is not optional for either, because both forage with barbels and coarse gravel costs them. Two groups want around 72 to 80 litres, and they share the same routine, sinking food that reaches the floor and shaded cover of wood and leaf litter. One caveat: kuhlis will take eggs and fry, so this is not a pairing for a planned cory spawning.
